Trading Desk Full Stack Developer

Role overview

What you will do

• Develop and maintain web applications for front-office trading, market analysis, and commercial activities.
• Design scalable full-stack solutions and develop interfaces, dashboards, workflow tools, backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Build and support databases, data pipelines, and data integration processes that provide reliable business information.
• Apply standards for code quality, testing, maintainability, security, automation, architecture, and technical design.
• Monitor and resolve production issues, support cloud deployments, and contribute to modernization initiatives.
• Use version control, automated testing, continuous integration, documentation, and effective stakeholder communication.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Trading, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Software development experience with modern application development practices and scalable web applications.
• Experience supporting commodity trading, financial markets, or related commercial environments.
• Front-end proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Back-end development experience with Python, Node.js, or similar languages.
• Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases, plus data pipelines and data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting trading desks, market analytics teams, or commodity trading organizations.
• Understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments for oil, natural gas, power, or other commodities.
• Experience with database administration, optimization, data management, data modeling, indexing, query optimization, or performance tuning.
• Advanced Python, React, full-stack architecture, distributed systems, web security, Databricks, Snowflake, or relevant certifications.
