Position Overview
Tooling Engineer supporting automotive stamping-tool programs, new business launches, and current production operations.
The role provides technical and administrative support to Program Managers for tools and dies used in stamped metal components and assemblies.
The position is a regular permanent role within Cosma International.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Tool and Die Maker with at least five years of experience beyond completion of a formal apprenticeship.
- At least five years of project management or leadership experience involving tool and die timelines and open-issues matrices.
- Ability to interpret customer part drawings and specifications, including material specifications, performance expectations, and GD&T, using CAD.
- Proficiency with automotive stamping measurement tools, including vernier calipers, micrometers, checking fixtures, and attribute gauges.
- Ability to travel internationally for project and customer requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of CAD systems.
Program and Quotation Support
- Support new business quotes with part feasibility, costing, coil strip width, feed length, station count, and tonnage calculations.
