Set up and operate TIG welder according to specifications.
Equipment set-up, including loading/unloading parts.
Monitor welding process and making adjustments to equipment as necessary.
Inspect and checking dimensions using precision gauges and measuring instruments.
Make adjustments to equipment to ensure quality parts are produced.
Complete production and labor reports.
Complete preventative maintenance procedures.
Operate drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools, and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
Be responsible for all equipment and supplies, associated with the weld and machine shops.
Maintain daily communication with management to review the priorities set forth within the department.
Promote good housekeeping practices; follow all safety programs set in place.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Follow the established work procedures and control measures (including the use of PPE where issued) and any applicable SHE rules.
The ability to operate all in-house welding equipment.
Maintain records and document in process inspection data as required.
Work with a variety of materials, including steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, Inconel and other precious metals.
Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
Brings any irregularity to Lead-person for management.
Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices.
Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
Experience: Minimum 3 plus years of TIG welding hands on experience required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Specialized knowledge: Operation of drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools, and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
