We are seeking a proactive and site-based Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team at Hinkley Point C. Operating within a highly regulated nuclear environment, your primary objective is to manage the lifecycle of temporary structures, ensuring total safety, commercial efficiency, and legal compliance. You will act as the primary engineering link between our design house and front-line delivery teams, enforcing strict procedural controls and managing multi-tier design approvals.
As a Temporary Works Coordinator, you'll be working within the Minor Civil Frameworks team, supporting them in managing temporary structures safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:
Preparing detailed design briefs and verifying all calculations and design packages before execution
Acting as the primary contact between designers and site teams, coordinating approvals and submissions
Reviewing Risk Assessment Method Statements and enforcing all safety protocols with authority to halt unsafe operations
Inspecting installations and issuing permits to load and strike, ensuring compliance with all procedures
Managing design deviations and maintaining comprehensive Temporary Works Registers and traceable documentation

You have significant experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects
You hold a valid CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWCTC) qualification and a relevant engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC)
You have a strong understanding of BS 5975 and CDM 2015 regulations
You have demonstrable experience managing Temporary Works Registers
You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between clients, designers, and delivery teams
