ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Timely and accurately submit surplus lines filings for assigned states.
Process surplus lines tax returns for all assigned states before due dates.
Coordinate payment of surplus lines taxes by appropriate due dates.
Maintain accurate files on shared drive
Work with surplus lines stamping offices and state agencies to resolve any discrepancies.
Work collaboratively with and assist in educating the account teams
Reconcile reports and coordinate with accounting
Utilize InsCipher for filings and reports
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Strong attention to detail
Be a team player/collaborate with all colleagues as needed
Ability to read, analyze and interpret surplus lines regulations and requirements.
Be able to multi-task and prioritize.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent follow up skills.
Able to navigate the internet.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Surplus lines experience helpful
Property & Casualty Insurance background helpful
Accounting experience helpful
COMPENSATION:
Non-Exempt: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00 per hour and standard workweeks are 37.5 hours. This range represents the employer’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
