Role Overview
VOLTAGE ENGINEERING LIMITED is hiring a Tele-control / SCADA Engineer for water control system projects in Qatar.
The role supports SCADA, PLC, RTU, control systems, and automation for treatment plants, pumping stations, DMAs, and water networks.
The scope includes operation, troubleshooting, integration, documentation, and cybersecurity compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation and Control, or Automation Engineering from a reputed university.
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in water utilities, EPC contractors, or automation companies.
- Hands-on PLC/RTU programming experience with systems such as Siemens, Schneider, or ABB.
- SCADA configuration experience with platforms such as Siemens WinCC, Yokogawa, EcoStruxure, or GE iFIX.
- Knowledge of Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, DNP3, OPC-UA, or Ethernet/IP.
- Experience with field instrumentation for flow, pressure, level, and water-quality measurement.
- Familiarity with critical-infrastructure cybersecurity practices and international standards.
- Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, and operations and maintenance support.
- English communication is required; Arabic is a plus.
- Candidates must pass an authorization interview and qualify as an Authorized Person.
- A valid Qatar driving license and extensive travel within Qatar are required.
Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and Kahramaa departments for commissioning activities.
- Conduct commissioning and testing for the Water Control System.
- Operate and maintain SCADA, PLC, RTU, and DMA systems.
- Troubleshoot and rectify SCADA and automation system faults.
- Integrate new equipment and implement software upgrades.
- Prepare and review technical documents, as-built drawings, P&IDs, control logic, SCADA architecture, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Kahramaa HSE and cybersecurity policies.
- Support Kahramaa personnel with the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of water control automation systems and applications.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Work Arrangement
- Work location is in person.
- The role requires extensive travel within the state of Qatar.
