Carry out simple functional checks and assist with calibration to ensure equipment is working correctly.
Inspect parts and assembled equipment for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
Maintain equipment in good working condition, assist with basic troubleshooting and repairs, and escalate complex faults to the supervisor or relevant technical team.
Clean and prepare equipment and tools before and after use to ensure they are safe, tidy, and ready for the field and customers.
Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing equipment and tools for shipment to field locations or other sites.
Complete records for assembly, cleaning, checks, shipment bookings, and equipment movement as required.
Follow HSE requirements, safety instructions, workplace procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards; report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, logistics, and support teams to complete tasks on time.
Certificate or diploma in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is desirable.
At least 2-3 years’ experience assisting with the maintenance, handling, or basic troubleshooting of BMR or geophysics tools is preferred. Training can be provided.
A basic understanding of circuit theory and how it applies to DC and AC circuits is desirable to support assembly, testing, and fault reporting tasks.
