Technician, Pipefitting

Assist with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping components and systems, as well as fixed equipment such as tanks, towers and exchangers

Maintenance and repair of utility and process piping as well as fixed equipment such as drums, towers, and exchangers

Implement the Preventive Maintenance program for piping and fixed equipment systems such as steam, traps, check valves, manual isolation valves, tanks, towers, and exchangers

Utilize SAP software for daily maintenance activities

Active participation in team safety meetings, audits and Job Task Observation of peers

Day-to-day safe and efficient execution of the department’s preventative, routine, and immediate maintenance requirements

Maintain all tools, work area and equipment a clean and orderly fashion

Read and interpret construction fabrication drawings and specifications

Work alongside and in cooperation with other maintenance trades, operations, and technical groups

Participate in the rotating on call schedule

Manage contract group through various projects or tasks

Coordinate and executed maintenance work during shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds to help return the plant to service on schedule.

Alberta Journeyperson Certificate, Steamfitter/Pipefitter

5+ years of plant maintenance experience in a chemical/petrochemical industry

Working knowledge of SAP

Strong proven troubleshooting skills
