Our Global Operations & Quality team plays a central part in ensuring our products are delivered to patients with cardiovascular disease.
The Packaging Test Laboratory Technician supports the execution of testing services for medical device packaging systems used in product development, validation, manufacturing support, and regulatory compliance activities.
This role performs laboratory testing, environmental conditioning, equipment operation, sample management, data collection, and documentation in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
The technician works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant test execution while contributing to laboratory efficiency, process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
How you’ll make an impact:
Perform package testing, environmental conditioning, and other laboratory activities in accordance with approved procedures, protocols, and work instructions.
Prepare, receive, inspect, label, store, and manage test samples to support laboratory operations and project timelines.
Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including environmental chambers and package testing equipment.
Collect, document, review, and maintain test data in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Quality System requirements.
Assist engineers with test setup, fixture preparation, protocol execution, and report generation.
Support laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration activities, troubleshooting, and vendor service coordination.
Maintain laboratory organization, inventory, supplies, and equipment readiness.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve laboratory processes, workflow efficiency, and data accuracy.
Support digital transformation initiatives, including electronic data collection, laboratory automation, and process improvement projects.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, quality personnel, project teams, and external testing partners to meet project objectives.
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality System requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need (Required):
Associate's Degree or equivalent in or technical degree/certificate in related discipline or 1 years of experience supporting operations.
Onsite required.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Experience in medical devices, packaging testing, validation, or quality systems.
Experience
in a laboratory, manufacturing, test, quality, engineering, or regulated environment.
Experience
operating laboratory or industrial equipment.
Familiarity with electronic documentation systems, databases, or digital workflow tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to work in a team environment.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $44,000 - $63,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
