- Attend to all electrical equipment breakdowns such as LV MV motors, LV Switchboards, MCCs, Plant lightings, Transformers, UPS, VFD, Breakers, Soft starter
- Carry out planned/preventive/predictive maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision
- Identify and report abnormalities; repair/replace items, re assemble and test equipment
- Technically assess job requirements and select necessary tools and equipment
- Effectively diagnose electrical breakdowns/failures and troubleshoot electrical failures
- Use SAP to order spare parts and maintain records of maintenance work
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements
- Monitor repeated breakdowns and recommend modifications
- Provide plant & equipment knowledge to newly joined electricians/craft trainees and contractors
- Participate in 5S, Business Excellence and Safety Initiatives
- Assist other departments in repair and troubleshooting of equipment
Requirements
- Experience in electrical maintenance of LV MV motors, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFD, breakers, soft starters
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical breakdowns with minimum direction
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and plant operational requirements
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

Responsibilities
- Attends to all electrical equipment breakdowns such as LV MV motors, LV Switchboards, MCCs, Plant lightings, Transformers, UPS, VFD, Breakers, Soft starter, etc. In addition, carries out planned/preventive/predictive maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision.
- Identifies and reports any abnormalities; repairs and/or replaces required items, re assembles and tests the equipment, leaving the working area clean.
- Technically assesses the requirement of allocated jobs and selects the necessary tools and equipment to complete such work.
- Effectively diagnoses electrical breakdowns/failures and troubleshoots electrical failures of plant and equipment with minimum or no direction.
- Uses the computerized maintenance system (SAP) to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintains records of all maintenance work completed.
- Ensures that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
- Monitors any repeated breakdowns and recommends proper modifications to resolve the problem.
- Provides plant & equipment knowledge to newly joined electricians/craft trainees and contractors to help them carry out their maintenance work.
- Continuously works towards improving EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance by participating in 5S, Business Excellence and Safety Initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as communicated by Supervisor/Superior.
- Assists other departments in the repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
