Technical Writers will contribute to an AI benchmark project by creating evaluation tasks, source materials, and assessments of AI-generated outputs.
Prior AI experience is not required.
Work Arrangement
- The role is remote.
Compensation and Availability
- The contractor is paid per approved task on an output-based compensation model.
- Minimum weekly submission requirements apply.
- Selected experts should be ready to begin within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Design technical evaluation tasks using structured files, code samples, and technical documents.
- Create and curate product specifications, subject matter expert notes, regulatory documents, and technical references.
- Define expected solutions, acceptance criteria, and output requirements.
- Develop detailed grading rubrics covering accuracy, precision, testability, and audience alignment.
- Create API references, user guides, technical instructions, and compliance documents.
- Synthesize complex source material into clear documentation.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project teams to refine deliverables.
Required Skills
- Precision writing, source synthesis, audience calibration, and technical writing.
- Structured authoring, documentation, analytical reasoning, and technical editing.
- Acceptance criteria and rubric development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to four or more years of technical writing experience with a relevant portfolio is preferred.
- Experience with precise technical documentation, style guides, structured authoring, and documentation toolchains is preferred.
- Exceptional written English and audience adaptation skills are preferred.
- Experience with evaluation rubrics and familiarity with technical benchmarking are advantageous.
