Position Overview
The EHS Technical Writer develops new program documents and leads the overhaul of the Environmental Health and Safety program document library.
The document library contains more than 100 documents.
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate the current inventory, identify redundancies and gaps, and recommend documents for consolidation or retirement.
- Classify retained documents by type, plan, procedure, or guide.
- Restructure content using standardized formatting, language, and organizational conventions.
- Translate complex technical content into clear, accurate, and usable documentation for diverse target audiences.
- Collaborate with EHS subject matter experts and instructional designers to align documentation with training materials.
- Craft language and sentence structure that reinforce care, wellbeing, collaboration, and partnership.
- Prepare content for publishing and public accessibility.
Accessibility Standards
- Ensure published content complies with ADA Title II and WCAG 2.1AA requirements.
