Technical Writer

• Review and edit technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with client and government standards.
• Ensure all deliverables use appropriate technical language, formatting, and structure to meet contract specifications.

• Verify documentation adheres to government and industry standards, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual and legal requirements.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with required technical specifications.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with project teams, including program managers, engineers, and logistics experts, to gather information and ensure deliverables meet project objectives .
• Maintain communication with VLinc and Shield AI to address questions about deliverables, report progress, and incorporate feedback.

• Develop templates and tools to streamline documentation creation and review processes.
• Identify opportunities for improving the clarity, consistency, and efficiency of technical writing efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a government or defense-related program.
• Strong understanding of government and industry standards for documentation, including ANSI GEIA-STD-0007 and MIL-STD formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Visio).
• Exceptional attention to detail, with experience in editing, formatting, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with logistics , engineering, or systems support documentation is a plus.

This is a hybrid role, with occasional travel to VLinc or Shield AI facilities for document reviews, team meetings, or collaboration as needed.

The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
