Vertiv Structures is seeking a hands-on Technical Trainer to support the development, cross-training, and continued growth of team members throughout our metal fabrication and modular manufacturing operations.
The Technical Trainer will deliver classroom, hands-on, and production-floor training; develop and maintain OJT/SOJT materials; assess employee competency; and partner with Operations and technical subject matter experts to ensure training accurately reflects current processes, safety requirements, quality standards, and production expectations.
The ideal candidate will have broad manufacturing knowledge with experience in areas such as structural steel fabrication, welding, CNC or laser operations, assembly, quality, material handling, or similar industrial processes.
Formal trainer experience is preferred but is not required for an individual with strong technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to teach, coach, or mentor others.

The Technical Trainer should possess broad manufacturing knowledge and the ability to develop working knowledge of processes throughout Vertiv Structures, including:
The Technical Trainer is not expected to serve as the final technical authority for welding inspection, engineering requirements, equipment certification, safety regulation, quality acceptance, or other activities requiring specialized qualifications.
No single Technical Trainer is expected to possess expert-level certification in every manufacturing discipline represented within Vertiv Structures.
The Technical Trainer must instead demonstrate the ability to:
Subject matter experts may include experienced welders, AWS Certified Welding Inspectors, Quality Inspectors, Engineers, CNC operators and programmers, Maintenance technicians, Logistics and Receiving personnel, Production supervisors, certified instructors, and experienced assemblers and fabricators.
Formal welding, equipment, safety, or instructor certifications are considered a plus but are not required for this position unless specifically required for an assigned training activity.
The Technical Trainer serves as the connection between manufacturing knowledge and workforce development, helping ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to perform their work safely, consistently, and to Vertiv quality standards.
The trainer is not expected to be the facility's expert in every technical discipline.
Success in this role requires broad manufacturing knowledge, the ability to learn quickly, strong partnerships with subject matter experts, and the ability to transform technical knowledge into practical, standardized, and effective employee training.
