The Technical Support Specialist provides frontline IT and help desk support for government users, systems, and networks.
This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, resolving service requests, and supporting daily IT operations to ensure reliable and responsive customer service.
The Technical Support Specialist works closely with system administrators and cybersecurity staff to support secure and efficient IT services.
Position supports a long-term Navy effort.
Employment is contingent upon contract award and continued Government funding.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities
• May provide technical guidance or mentoring to junior staff as needed Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for end users
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Respond to service requests and incidents through a ticketing system
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, peripherals, and software
• Support user account management and access requests in coordination with system administrators
• Assist with remote access and connectivity troubleshooting
• Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in accordance with established processes
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate technical teams
• Support system updates, patches, and configuration changes as directed
• Maintain awareness of cybersecurity best practices and report potential security incidents
• Deliver professional, customer-focused support to users in a mission environment Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting federal or DoD IT environments
• Familiarity with service desk tools and ticketing systems
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills Experience (Required):
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support
• Experience troubleshooting end-user hardware and software issues
• Experience supporting users in a networked environment Education / Certifications (Required):
• Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 workforce requirements for the applicable role

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance if required by the Government.
