Role overview
Provide worldwide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Qualitrol monitoring products.
Support transformer, GIS, grid, and circuit-breaker monitoring systems and their integration.
Work with Engineering and Field Service to resolve technical issues and support customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot monitoring devices and software and hardware issues.
- Provide remote support for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs.
- Configure and integrate SCADA systems using Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.
- Guide customers through troubleshooting and track issues through resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams and log issues in Salesforce.
- Provide post-sales assistance, customer training, reports, technical notes, and follow-up.
- Travel in support of the Field Service organization.
Supported products and systems
- Transformer monitoring products include Online DGA, TM1, TM3, TM8, DGA150, QTMS, QTMS-BM, ITM509, and QPDM.
- Grid monitoring products include IDM+ and BEN6000.
- GIS monitoring includes QPDM Gen3, and circuit-breaker monitoring includes QBCM.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical support, field service, research and development, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in customer support, field service, customer experience, or a related technical role.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering documents, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Specific Qualitrol product knowledge is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
