Location and Work Arrangement

Role Overview

Guidewire is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead critical security programs aligned with its security maturity strategy.

The role partners with Product, Engineering, and Enterprise teams and reports to the Director of Security Customer Success.

The ideal candidate understands security risks, product and platform context, process efficiency, and responsible AI adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cloud-scale technical security programs and lead roadmap execution for critical security functions.
  • Evaluate security program design, tooling, and workflows for AI and automation opportunities.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption through AI-assisted program management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Build stakeholder partnerships, promote metrics-driven decisions, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Drive strategic security maturity improvements and communicate with executives, engineering leads, consultants, and vendors.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to design prototypes and improve processes through automation and AI.

Requirements

  • Be a pragmatic security expert and hands-on technical program manager.
  • Use AI tools in daily work, stay current on AI capabilities, and distinguish practical value from hype.
  • Understand security technology for cloud products and enterprise environments, including AI-enabled security technology.
  • Promote proactive security and educate stakeholders on secure and responsible AI adoption.
  • Have experience driving security programs for a cloud company and improving processes through automation and AI.
  • Be data-driven, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to turn information into action.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience documenting processes and security requirements and managing complex cloud-scale technical security programs.
  • 3+ years of experience managing IGA, privilege assessment management, Zero Trust, and single sign-on solution programs.
  • Familiarity with applying the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to security program maturity.
  • Experience with SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience evaluating or governing enterprise AI adoption is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.

Compensation

  • The Canadian base salary range for this full-time position is CAD $120,000–$150,000.
  • Benefits may include health, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement contributions, bonuses, commissions, or long-term incentives depending on role and eligibility.
