Technical Inspector (5762)

Our Inspectors come from diverse professional backgrounds but share a common goal: ensuring every worker returns home safely at the end of the day.

You will ideally bring:

A strong technical and practical knowledge of construction and understanding of the application of design, operational systems, processes and procedures to reduce the incidence and severity of injury and disease associated with the industry’s typical plant, equipment and processes.

A systems-thinking approach through experience and/or application

Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

The ability to assess situations and make sound decisions under pressure

Excellent influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

The ability to interpret and apply legislation, standards or technical information

Confidence using technology and computer systems

Qualifications in occupational health and safety, compliance, a trade, technical discipline or relevant industry experience are desirable but not essential

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about making a positive difference and committed to improving workplace safety outcomes.

We invest heavily in developing our Inspectors through a structured recruitment and onboarding experience.

Successful applicants will also be required to enrol in a Diploma of Government as part of their development.
