- Provide technical leadership and oversight across multidisciplinary design and construction teams
- Serve as the technical authority for complex engineering solutions, design reviews, and technical governance
- Lead multidisciplinary design integration across architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist disciplines
- Support the successful delivery of projects from concept development through construction and handover
- Contribute technical leadership to proposals, bids, client presentations, and project pursuits
- Establish and maintain robust technical governance and assurance frameworks
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and technical specialists
- Serve as a senior technical representative with clients and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional registration
- Minimum 15+ years of post graduate engineering experience
- Extensive experience on major projects involving complex buildings, public venues, cultural assets, amphitheatres, stadiums, or long span structures
- Strong technical knowledge across multidisciplinary engineering design and construction processes
- Proven ability to analyse, manage, and resolve complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills

Overview
- AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technical Director to provide technical leadership across major multidisciplinary projects involving public venues, amphitheatres, cultural assets, complex buildings, and long span structures.
- The role requires an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in both design and construction phases of large scale projects.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience delivering public venues, amphitheatre facilities, performance venues, stadiums, or similar complex assembly buildings.
Your Role
- Sector Experience: Proven track record in design and delivery of major multidisciplinary projects including complex buildings and long span structures.
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to development and implementation of technical and operational strategy for major projects.
- Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence: Serve as technical authority for complex engineering solutions, design reviews, and technical governance.
- Design Management & Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary design integration across architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist disciplines.
- Project Management: Support successful delivery of projects from concept development through construction and handover.
- Business Development: Support identification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities.
- Risk Management & Technical Governance: Establish and maintain robust technical governance and assurance frameworks.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and technical specialists.

About You
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. Master's degree preferred.

- Experience in the Middle East region is desirable.
