Job Purpose

  • The Project Technical Coordinator serves as a vital link between project management, engineering teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures technical documentation, design deliverables, and construction activities are aligned with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret technical drawings, grading plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with design consultants/design team, contractors, and internal teams to ensure technical alignment.
  • Track and manage technical submittals that include but not limited to Shop Drawings, Design Review Reports, RFIs, and all other engineering approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
  • Support Document Controllers in organizing and distributing technical documents.
  • Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and progress summaries.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Monitor and update project workflows to reflect real time progress.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Project Director or Package Manager.
  • Assist in quality assurance reviews of technical deliverables.
  • Ensure that all technical activities adhere to safety, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Assist in preparing project schedules, resource plans, and risk registers.

Experience Requirements

  • This position requires 10+ years in mega projects prefer in PM/CM companies.
  • Company Background: Strong experience within Tier 1 Project Management / Construction Management (PM/CM or PMC) companies.

Education Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering Civil/Architect, Construction Management or related field.
  • PMP, BIM.

Required Technical Skills (Software & Hard Skills)

  • Engineering Tools: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing/issuing shop drawings and details.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Practical knowledge of Primavera (P6) for tracking project baselines, timelines, and milestones.
  • BIM Methodology: Strong understanding or familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and architecture management.
  • Document Control: Masterful command over document control systems, submittal logs, transmittals, and RFI management.
  • Contracts & Estimating: Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, BOQ structures, estimation, and procurement workflows.

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross functional reporting and high level stakeholder management.
  • Problem Solving: Highly analytical mindset with a strong ability to solve technical errors, contractual claims, and site conflicts under tight deadlines.
  • Leadership & Initiative: A self motivated coordinator capable of leading sub contractors and assisting Construction/Project Managers seamlessly.
