Responsibilities
Translate business needs into clear, technically detailed requirements, including data mappings, transformation logic, and acceptance criteria
Define requirements for data ingestion and integration, transformation logic and dbt models, curated/semantic data zones, and data contracts
Interpret and document SQL transformations, schema changes, table structures, and data quality business rules
Work daily with Data Engineers on Databricks pipelines and notebooks, dbt models, DAGs, and tests
Review pipeline logic and validate outputs for correctness, completeness, and alignment to requirements
Support debugging of Databricks job failures, schema drift and lineage gaps, dbt test failures, and data quality issues
Contribute to backlog grooming, refinement, and story scoping for data engineering squads
Perform process mapping and documentation of current state and future state data flows
Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Governance, Value Teams, and Engineering to ensure alignment and effective delivery
Champion data quality, metadata completeness, and governance standards across data products

Preferred
Familiarity with data domains in finance or procurement, workplace services, sustainability, business development, human resources
Experience with BI or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Exposure to Python or R for data analysis or automation
Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Anaplan
Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus, but not required
