Tech Maintenance Assistant

Role Overview

Maintenance and Field Work

• Maintain and repair systems within defined timeframes, processes, service agreements, and customer needs.
• Complete planned site and customer visits and resolve dispatched customer requests or calls.
• Perform maintenance and repairs under close supervision, seeking technical support and escalating issues when required.
• Support work on compressors, condensing units, evaporators, valves, and control systems.

Technical and Customer Support

• Read and understand electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, and psychrometric diagrams.
• Communicate with customers at arrival and departure and clarify operating problems and service needs.
• Keep customers informed about service work, outstanding issues, and possible system enhancements or replacements.
• Advise and train customers in system operations.
• Document completed work and promptly submit clear service reports.

Compliance and Development

• Maintain and improve technical proficiency in Johnson Controls product lines.
• Follow the Johnson Controls safety culture and all applicable safety standards and equipment requirements.
• Comply with environmental and industry regulations where required.
• Promote approved change orders or additional labor and material work when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in a specific trade such as HVAC or refrigeration is required.
• Basic product knowledge and the ability to gain an overall system understanding are required.
• At least two years of experience in a relevant field is required.
• Fluent English language skills are required.

Work Setting

• The role is field-based and includes planned site and customer visits in Qatar.
