Position Overview
The Team Manager - Stores is based in Pune and manages stores activities while maintaining high stock accuracy.
The role supports customer needs and gives high priority to production requirements.
The role manages warehouse operations and ensures inbound and outbound material logistics are completed on time.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage supplier receipts, receipt quality inspection coordination, material location, and timely picking.
- Ensure proper material transactions and maintain stock accuracy through counting and updates.
- Monitor stock levels, early arrivals, inventory values, and excess or obsolete inventory.
- Set team targets, monitor performance, and align team and department KPIs.
- Prepare goods receipt records promptly after material is received.
- Run ALPS, 5S, Kaizen, projects, and other operations initiatives within the group.
- Develop and secure standardized work through SOPs.
- Drive problem solving and improvement activities in stores.
- Dispose of supplier rejections and scrap material promptly.
- Maintain high safety standards in the stores and yard.
- Prepare e-way bills and dispatch material against MSJ.
- Verify A and B class stock items regularly and maintain FIFO for shelf-life items.
