Hi, I am Michelle Jones, Service Manager for In Care at Norfolk County Council. Norfolk is a ‘Outstanding’ authority with ‘aspiration senior leadership’. Our Team Managers really support their teams and the work they do to achieve positive outcomes for our young people and our staff. We are looking for a Team Manager who is Social Work qualified Degree level. You will be experienced in working with looked after children, need experience in manging a team of social workers, an excellent team player and share our vision to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families alongside excellent people management skills, knowledge of recruitment, budget management, and mentoring skills. In Care is an exciting service in Norfolk which continues to develop and grow. You will be part of developing the working practices within the teams as well as working closely with partner agencies to develop a robust, positive offer to those children and young people. You will be joining a committed, supportive and energetic local management team, supporting a diverse staff group as well as managing a busy locality team focused on delivering a high-quality service. Quality support and supervision will be provided to you, and we look forward to welcoming enthusiastic and dynamic social work professionals. Norfolk is a fantastic place to live and work. You will be based in Great Yarmouth and work within our North, East and Great Yarmouth area. We are a hybrid service although encourage teams and workers to meet regularly in office spaces which are hybrid friendly. Therefore, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
