Role Overview
The Teacher Assistant works closely with the Head Teacher and teachers to support curriculum delivery and educational standards.
The role supports children aged 0 to 6 years in learning, adjustment, socialization, and language development.
Qualifications and Skills
- A certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in a nursery or preschool setting is preferred.
- The role requires a supportive, patient, and collaborative approach with a passion for working with young children.
Classroom Support
- Help teachers prepare lesson plans and set up daily classroom materials.
- Prepare props, decorate and design the classroom environment, and assist teachers with various tasks.
- Track attendance and class schedules.
- Work with small groups on remedial teaching and learning reinforcement.
- Escort and supervise children and keep classrooms safe and tidy.
Language and Student Development
- Prepare and deliver engaging language lessons for children aged 0 to 6 years.
