About the Role
EY MENA's Tax Technology & Transformation team seeks a Consultant to Assistant Manager to help clients transform tax and finance functions through technology, data, analytics, and AI.

Responsibilities
- Support and deliver tax transformation engagements by gathering and documenting business requirements
- Prepare and validate data, perform reconciliations, develop analytics and reporting solutions
- Support implementation and testing activities
- Work with clients to improve tax reporting processes and enable data driven decision making
- Support adoption of new technologies including eInvoicing, digital tax reporting, and AI enabled solutions
Requirements
- Experience in tax technology, tax transformation, tax reporting, finance transformation, data analytics, consulting, or related areas
- Strong data and analytics skills including experience with SQL and data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Exposure to software implementation lifecycles including requirements gathering, testing (SIT/UAT), defect management, and documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

The opportunity
- EY MENA's Tax Technology & Transformation (TTT) team helps organizations transform their tax and finance functions through technology, data, analytics, digital tax solutions, and AI enabled capabilities.
Your key responsibilities
- Support and deliver tax transformation engagements by gathering and documenting business requirements, preparing and validating data, performing reconciliations, developing analytics and reporting solutions, and supporting implementation and testing activities.
- Work with clients to improve tax reporting processes, enable data driven decision making, and support adoption of new technologies including eInvoicing, digital tax reporting, and AI enabled solutions.
- Depending on grade and experience, lead workstreams, manage deliverables, coordinate testing activities, mentor junior team members, and contribute to client workshops and solution design discussions.
To qualify for the role
- Experience in tax technology, tax transformation, tax reporting, finance transformation, data analytics, consulting, or related areas.
- Strong data and analytics skills, including experience with SQL and data validation, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
- Experience working with analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to software implementation lifecycles, including requirements gathering, testing (SIT/UAT), defect management, and documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience with eInvoicing, VAT reporting, or digital indirect tax initiatives.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI enabled solutions, data validation, or technology adoption activities.
- Relevant certifications in tax, accounting, data analytics, visualization tools, Agile, testing, or related disciplines.
