We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tandoor Chef with strong expertise in authentic North Indian cuisine to join our professional kitchen team.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate mastery of traditional tandoor cooking techniques and consistently deliver high-quality dishes in line with established standards.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tandoor Chef, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Tandoor Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of tandoori dishes, such as naan, rotis, stuffed bread, kebabs, and other traditional Indian dishes.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the tandoor area and kitchen, managing inventory of ingredients, and ensuring food quality and presentation meet the highest standards.
The chef will adhere to health and safety regulations, work collaboratively with kitchen staff, and contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for customers.
Qualifications
- Proficient in traditional Tandoori cooking techniques, including preparation of items such as naan, rotis, and kebabs
- Knowledge of seasoning, marinating, and cooking methods for tandoori cuisine
- Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow health and safety standards, and handle food hygienically
- Experience in inventory management and ensuring proper storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant setting
- Fluency in communication to coordinate with team members effectively
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years proven experience as a Tandoor Chef (North Indian Cuisine)
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian spices, marinades, and tandoor techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Physically fit to work in a hot kitchen environment
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage
- Food Safety / HACCP certification is a plus
- Candidates must be inside UAE.
