Role overview
Own the learning and talent journey across the company's venues, from onboarding through leadership development.
Design programmes, build talent frameworks, deliver training, and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Act as deputy to the Head of Talent and Culture and lead the department when needed.
Learning and development
- Create and deliver training for front-of-house, back-of-house, and leadership teams.
- Build and run the Standards of Excellence framework and Training Academy.
- Manage the digital learning platform and external learning partners.
- Coach managers and chefs to become confident trainers.
- Audit on-the-job training and daily briefings across venues and close identified gaps.
Talent journey
- Lead onboarding for every new joiner and run a programme for newly appointed managers.
- Own the appraisal cycle from launch and manager coaching through analysis and follow-up.
- Translate review outcomes into promotions, increments, and development plans.
- Build the succession pipeline and partner with universities on internships.
- Keep job descriptions accurate and current.
