RATP Dev, John Holland, Alstom, WSP and KBR, have been selected to deliver the Linewide scope of works for Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East.

SRL East is the first stage of the Suburban Rail Loop, comprising of a fully tunnelled 26-kilometre metro corridor between Cheltenham to the south of Melbourne and Box Hill to the north.

Within this alliance, RATP Dev has partnered with John Holland in a dedicated Joint Venture called TransitLinX.

Our joint venture will focus entirely on the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) component of this project.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Leading safety and systems assurance activities, including fire and life safety, human factors, and RAM
• Reviewing design packages and technical documentation for compliance with safety requirements
• Delivering system and subsystem safety cases and assurance artefacts
• Leading risk identification and assessment workshops
• Supporting subsystem integration and compliance with internal safety management systems
• Engaging with regulatory bodies and providing technical expertise during audits and inspections
• Contributing to technical reviews with a focus on safety, reliability, and operator-led outcomes
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging safety methods, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Mentoring and guiding team members to strengthen organisational safety capability

You are an experienced safety assurance professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to embed safety across complex engineering projects.

You thrive in cross-functional environments, delivering safe, compliant, and reliable solutions.

Key experience and attributes include:

• Degree in engineering with comprehensive knowledge of risk management
• 5+ years’ experience in rail safety engineering, or 10+ years in related industries
