Systems Engineer

Manage servers, cloud services, including database, e-mail and backup servers/services and their associated operating systems and software

Contribute to system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.

Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.

Provide orientation and training to IT users for all modified and new systems.

Develop and test scripts, programs, code, and configuration in support of optimizing routine operations and tasks.

Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in support of incident and problem management. Recommended options to address identified issues.

What You Bring To The Team

5-7 years relevant experience VMware /Microsoft MCSE/ ITIL work experience Extensive experience designing, deploying, and administering mission critical servers. Experience analyzing marketplace trends and determining applicability to MCAPs environment Designing and deployment of automation technologies Experience with design, implementation, and management of cloud services Experience with large scale storage and backup solutions; specifically, Veeam Backup. Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures – preferably in an ITIL driven environment.
