Role Overview
Manage, maintain, and support Linux-based server environments.
Configure and troubleshoot systems to support high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server configurations.
- Implement backups, disaster recovery, and security updates.
- Automate routine maintenance using Bash, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Collaborate with development and network teams on application deployment and integration.
- Provide Linux technical support and guidance to users and IT staff.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Participate in capacity planning and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Stay current with Linux technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
- Experience with server management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
