About the Role
TMX Group is seeking a Systems Business Analyst Intern to support core infrastructure operations. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on data accessibility, reporting, and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Assist the business in defining report requirements and writing SQL based queries to extract data.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of data dictionaries and document field attributes, relationships, and data structures.
- Work under guidance to ensure data security standards are maintained, including removal or masking of sensitive fields.
- Serve as the first point of contact for business users experiencing issues with reporting tools.
- Create and update documentation explaining how business applications interact with backend systems.
- Participate in BA Squad meetings, assist in documenting ServiceNow tasks, and help manage the lifecycle of requests.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Technology Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong interest in data structures, database management, and query languages; prior experience or academic coursework in SQL is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into simple, readable outputs.
- Google Sheets / Excel skills (familiarity with data imports, pivots, and add ins is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to act as a translator between non technical business users and technical development teams.
- A disciplined approach to documentation and adherence to data privacy and security standards.

Salary Range
- 25/hour 28/hour CAD
