Responsibilities
- Assist the business in defining report requirements and writing SQL based queries to extract data
- Support the ongoing maintenance of data dictionaries and assist in documenting field attributes, relationships, and data structures
- Work under guidance to ensure data security standards are maintained, including removal or masking of sensitive fields in reporting environments
- Serve as first point of contact for business users experiencing issues with reporting tools; troubleshoot integration challenges and assist with user onboarding
- Create and update documentation explaining how business applications interact with backend systems; assist in mapping requirements to technical specifications
- Participate in BA Squad meetings, assist in documenting ServiceNow tasks, and help manage the lifecycle of requests from business initiation to production support
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Technology Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- Strong interest in data structures, database management, and query languages; prior experience or academic coursework in SQL highly preferred
- Ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into simple, readable outputs
- Google Sheets / Excel skills (familiarity with data imports, pivots, and add ins a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to act as a translator between non technical business users and technical development teams
- A disciplined approach to documentation and adherence to data privacy and security standards
- Knowledge of IT service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence) (nice to have)

Job Description
- The Transfer Agency Transformation squad is seeking an ambitious and analytical Systems Business Analyst Intern to support our core infrastructure operations.
- You will act as a bridge between our business stakeholders and our technical development teams, focusing on data accessibility, reporting, and integrity within our ecosystem.
Key Accountabilities
- Report Generation & Data Querying: Assist the business in defining report requirements and writing SQL based queries to extract data.
- Data Dictionary Management: Support the ongoing maintenance of data dictionaries. Assist in documenting field attributes, relationships, and data structures.
- Data Security & Governance: Work under the guidance of senior team members to ensure data security standards are maintained, including the removal or masking of sensitive fields.
- User Support & Enablement: Serve as the first point of contact for business users experiencing issues with reporting tools. Help troubleshoot integration challenges and assist with user onboarding.
- Technical Documentation: Create and update documentation that explains how business applications interact with backend systems. Assist in mapping requirements from business units to technical specifications.
- Squad Collaboration: Participate in BA Squad meetings, assist in documenting ServiceNow tasks, and help manage the lifecycle of requests from business initiation to production support.
Must Have(s)

- 12 month Co op / Internship: September 8, 2026 September 10, 2027.
- In order to be considered for the position, you are required to submit your Knockri Assessment.
- Salary Range: 25/hour 28/hour CAD.
