Role overview
The Systems Analyst, Clinical Solutions works independently within a multi-site healthcare environment.
The role develops and maintains complex clinical application systems affecting multiple functional areas.
The role provides systems analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, troubleshooting, and support across the system development life cycle.
Core responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility, impact, current-state, and future-state analyses for clinical applications.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, workflows, forms, diagrams, and implementation plans.
- Implement system changes and break fixes through change control and incident management processes.
- Support system design, builds, modifications, enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and go-live activities.
- Perform unit, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, plus data conversion and extraction activities.
- Measure system performance, analyze volumes and response times, and assist with capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot application issues and recommend solutions based on clinical application needs and business processes.
- Create and maintain technical, operational, service level, downtime, and disaster recovery documentation.
- Coordinate vendor communications, product evaluations, service requests, patches, and releases.
