Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Principle participants on Windows Server and SQL migration to Azure PaaS
• Develop strategy and plan for the upgrade and migration of legacy Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and SQL 2008, 2012, 2016 SQL environments to Azure Windows and SQL PaaS
• Work with various teams to understand application environment to plan and execute Windows and SQL migration/upgrade, and validation of environments as they are migrated
• Manages and maintains systems (virtual, physical, hosts) as assigned to include change tickets, patching, troubleshooting, and designing
• Addresses tickets and provides incident response and triage for systems (to include after-hours support)
• Develops and maintains system documentation to include build, standards (configuration Mgmt.), CMDB information, and disaster recovery documentation
• Ensures systems are monitored for reactive and proactive troubleshooting to include information needed for periodic health checks, capacity, issues
• Assists in the build of systems and integration into application or data center environment
• Participates in projects as the systems SME.
• Responsible for ensuring there are adequate system backup and DR environments setup.
• Creates, updates, and executes change tickets for systems
• Liaises with vendors, clients, and other teams for any required troubleshooting and/or support projects
• Helps maintain data center
