Scope

Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of ONWA's technology infrastructure, cloud services, and organizational technology systems.

Post-secondary Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Network Administration, or a related field.
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in systems administration, network administration, cloud technologies, or information technology support.
Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, permissions, and collaboration platforms.
Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience supporting network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless technologies, VPNs, and firewall solutions.
Experience supporting cloud-based environments and remote workforce technologies.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and organizational technology systems.
Experience working with IT service management and ticketing systems.

Knowledge of enterprise technology platforms, collaboration tools, governance frameworks, cybersecurity principles, and security best practices.
Knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, connectivity solutions, and technology support practices.
Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles.
Understanding of cloud technologies, hybrid environments, and modern workplace solutions.
Knowledge of IT service management practices, ticketing systems, and technical support processes.
Ability to speak an Indigenous language is considered an asset.
