Vultr is building a Global Integrated Operations Command Center in Chennai for global cloud, systems, network, and security operations.
Role Overview
Systems Engineers serve as the first line of response for Vultr’s systems estate, including compute, storage, operating systems, and virtualization.
The role monitors health signals, acknowledges and triages alerts, executes documented runbooks, and escalates issues outside L1 scope.
The role operates on a rotational schedule to provide 24x7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Alert Monitoring and Response
- Monitor systems-estate health signals from a consolidated dashboard.
- Acknowledge alerts within first-response service-level targets.
- Review alerts, recent changes, and the CMDB before acting.
- Classify incidents by severity and customer impact and route them to the correct tower.
- Execute permitted L1 runbook actions and resolve common systems issues.
