Vultr is building a Global Integrated Operations Command Center in Chennai for monitoring, triage, and incident resolution across global network operations.
Role overview
Senior Network Engineers own escalated and complex incidents across routing, switching, DNS, CDN, load balancing, and connectivity.
The role leads troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, permanent remediation, runbook development, and mentoring.
Success is measured through MTTR, root-cause closure, recurrence reduction, and runbook coverage.
Key responsibilities
- Own escalated incidents and drive them to resolution within defined SLAs.
- Lead deep troubleshooting using packet captures, flow data, routing tables, logs, and change history.
- Determine root causes and implement permanent fixes, configuration changes, and routing or peering adjustments.
- Partner with engineering SMEs, carriers, and transit or peering providers on architecture-level remediation.
- Lead Sev-0 and Sev-1 major-incident bridges and document containment and recovery decisions.
