Role overview
Support spacecraft systems engineering for a low-Earth-orbit satellite constellation from requirements and interface definition through verification.
The role covers requirements, architecture, trade-offs, budgets, analysis, verification planning, and configuration-controlled documentation.
Requirements and interfaces
- Capture and manage system and subsystem requirements with bidirectional traceability to verification.
- Define subsystem, payload, ground-segment, and launch-vehicle interfaces.
- Prepare interface control documents and contribute to architecture, functional breakdown, and design baselines.
Design analysis and reviews
- Perform trade-off studies and document recommendations for architecture, redundancy, sizing, and make-or-buy decisions.
- Maintain mass, power, link, data, and pointing budgets and analyze system performance.
- Support spacecraft subsystem design through FEM, CLA, thermal modeling, PLM, and ERP integration.
- Prepare technical material for PDR and CDR and support review-action closure.
