The System Data Center Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and related hardware.
The role involves monitoring system performance, performing regular maintenance, assisting with capacity planning, and ensuring high availability and reliability of on-premise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patch management for servers and infrastructure components.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of on-premise systems.
- Support capacity planning and resource utilization to meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and issues.
- Coordinate with network, security, and application teams to support system operations.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data center standards, policies, and best practices.
