Survey Crew Chief (Intermediate/Senior)

We are currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief (Intermediate/Senior) to join our Edmonton team.

This role is ideal for an experienced field survey professional with strong technical judgment, leadership ability, and a practical understanding of municipal infrastructure and land development projects.

The successful candidate will support accurate data collection, construction layout, field coordination, and the supervision of survey assistants.

As a Survey Crew Chief, you will support the delivery of accurate survey information and construction layout services for municipal engineering and land development projects.

include:

· Perform topographical surveys, subdivision construction layout, and other geomatics work using traditional survey equipment, total stations, GPS systems, and data collectors.

· Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design information to support accurate field layout.

Complete and support subdivision survey and construction layout calculations, including volume calculations where required.

· Supervise, train, and mentor survey assistants by providing clear field direction, technical guidance, and practical support to help ensure accurate, efficient, and safe survey operations.

· Promote safe field practices, including hazard awareness, proper use of equipment, and compliance with company and project-specific safety requirements.

· Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal project teams, contractors, and municipal representatives while working in the field.

· 5 to 10 years of field survey experience on municipal engineering and land development projects.
