As our Support Engineer , you'll play a key role in supporting frontline repair activities across our gas network. This isn't just about responding to gas escapes – it's about helping deliver safe, efficient and reliable services for the millions of customers who depend on us every day.
Based in and around the Norwich/Suffolk area, you'll work closely with a Team Leader and wider operational teams to support emergency response, repairs and network maintenance activities. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while helping to protect our infrastructure, support customers and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

As this role requires the use of respiratory protective equipment, you'll need to be clean shaven each day in line with health and safety requirements. The role also includes participation in a 1-in-6 standby rota and associated call-out responsibilities.
Frontline Network Support – Attend gas escapes and support repair activities that help keep customers and communities safe.
Varied Operational Work – Assist with groundwork, excavations, reinstatements and a range of network maintenance activities.
Safety First – Promote safe working practices, using appropriate signing, lighting, guarding and cable avoidance techniques.
Team Collaboration – Work closely with Team Leaders and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality services.
Network Protection – Support patrol and plant protection activities that help safeguard Cadent assets.
