This internship will be available from June to August 2027.
This role is on site, which means you would be required to work on site at the Best Buy Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Nichols, NY.

What you’ll do
• Support the Process Engineering team in the identification, verification, analysis, and implementation of process improvements
• Assist in the development of engineered labor standards by conducting time studies
• Participate in the design and development of Distribution and Fulfillment processes to refine operations, documentation, and reporting
• Identify potential future impacts for other operational and functional areas based on current trends and make recommendations to business leaders to influence change
• Prepare financial presentations, process documentation, and SOPs
Basic qualifications
• Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between fall 2027 and spring 2028
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm (Central Time)
• Must be able to commit to the start and end date of 5/31/2027- 8/6/2027
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the Nichols, NY RDC or be willing to relocate without relocation assistance

Preferred qualifications
Experience with Engineered Labor Standards
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma Certification or relevant coursework
Experience with CAD or AutoCAD
Experience in a hands-on manufacturing or warehousing environment
Experience with project management
Strong knowledge of 5S and Safety Standards in Supply Chain
Major in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
