- Direct the daily operations of the Supply Chain department
- Provide professional procurement and related advice to internal client departments
- Direct relationships between vendors and information technology systems
- Train, develop, mentor, and assist subordinates
- Take full fiscal responsibility for the procurement operating budget
- Oversee contracts including management of changes and variation
- Direct inventory and logistics to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Develop, maintain, and communicate procurement and sourcing policies
- Engage with department directors and executive teams in purchase selection

- Monitor and assess performance of supply chain staff
- Direct supply chain applications including system maintenance and training
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain or related field
- Master's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a hospital Supply Chain Department
- 5 years of experience in Senior Management in a Healthcare Environment
- Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) Standards
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Skills in Computer Applications such as Microsoft Office

Position Description
- Directs the entire American Hospital Dubai's Supply Chain Management functions including daily operations and all strategic initiatives tied to Supply Chain Compliance, Policies and Procedures, Contract Management and Applications.
Position Responsibility
- Directs the daily operations of the Supply Chain department to maximize staff effectiveness and efficiency
- Provides professional procurement and related advice to internal client departments
- Directs the relationships between different vendors and information technology systems
- Trains, develops, mentors, and assists subordinates
- Takes full fiscal responsibility for the procurement operating budget
- Oversees contracts which includes management of changes and variation, contract preparation and adherence
- Directs inventory and logistics to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Develops, maintains, and communicates procurement and sourcing policies, procedures, and practices
- Engages with relevant department directors and executive teams in selection or recommendation of purchases
- Oversees staffing levels are sufficient to provide excellent customer service
- Monitors and assesses the performance of supply chain staff
- Directs supply chain applications, including system maintenance, development, and training
Position Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain or in a related field
- Master's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management or in a related field preferred
Professional Experience
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in a hospital specifically in the Supply Chain Department
- Five (5) years of experience in Senior Management in a Healthcare Environment
- Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) Standards
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Skills in Computer Applications such as Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
