Position Summary
The Welding Supplier Engineer develops, qualifies, and continuously improves welding and fabrication processes across the global supplier base.
The role ensures suppliers meet quality, reliability, and technical requirements for precision welded semiconductor equipment assemblies.
Supplier Qualification and Development
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for supplier-manufactured welded components and assemblies.
- Review welding procedures, evaluate parts, recommend qualified sources, lead supplier onboarding and audits, and monitor supplier KPIs.
- Maintain records of supplier capabilities, deviations, certificates of conformance, NCRs, qualifications, and performance reports.
Technical Collaboration
- Resolve weldability, distortion, cracking, and component reliability issues with design, manufacturing, and process engineering teams.
