Unique opportunities exist within one of Australia’s most advanced mining operations centres! Working a 7/7 day/night roster, we are seeking experienced and motivated Supervisors (Mine Control) to join our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC+) in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Superintendent Load & Haul (Conventional Mine Control), you will lead a high-performing team responsible for supporting multiple site operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance across the Mine Control function.
The role will offer you the opportunity to lead a talented and engaged team where safety is the number one priority. You will gain exposure to operational events, risk management, and complex business challenges while influencing critical decisions that support multiple mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate visible and committed leadership in line with the Safety Management Plan, ensuring safety remains the highest priority
Create and sustain a culture of trust, care, collaboration, and high performance within the Mine Control team
Develop and maintain succession and capability plans to build future leadership and technical strength within the team
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvement actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Mine Control systems, processes, and operating procedures
Ensure robust and current business continuity plans are maintained for Mine Control operations
Build strong working relationships with Mining, Prestrip, Fixed Plant, Port Operations, and other key operational stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all BMA standards, procedures, and governance requirements
Support the ongoing evolution of Mine Control capabilities and technology across the BMA network
Deliver operational outcomes while balancing safety, productivity, and business priorities

Previous leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and positively influence others
Strong operational leadership capability with experience delivering outcomes through effective team management
This role requires a strong people leader who can influence outcomes across a broad stakeholder network while fostering a culture built on care, accountability, and continuous improvement

Highly developed problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skills
Experience leading improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business value
