Job category: Reservations.

Position type: Non-management.
The role is based at a hotel location in Doha, Qatar.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate blocked-room lists, reservations, and market rates.
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations by phone, fax, or email.
- Identify guest needs and select suitable room types based on availability and rates.
- Explain guarantee, special pricing, and cancellation policies.
- Document special requests and answer questions about hotel facilities, services, and rooms.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Enter and retrieve reservation-system data.
- Set billing accounts according to accounting policies.
- Resolve guest issues or refer them to the appropriate staff.
- Assist management with training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, motivation, and employee development.
- Welcome guests, anticipate needs, and provide courteous service.
- Follow company policies, confidentiality requirements, appearance standards, and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- Secondary-school diploma or equivalent.
