Summary
- The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor coordinates and manages pharmacy technician staff involved in medication preparation and distribution related activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma preferred. Preference for either an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Pharmacy Technician, Certificate degree as Pharmacy Technician, or a combination of education and relevant pharmacy management experience (2 4 years).
- License/Certifications: Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with Maine State Board of Pharmacy required.
- Experience: See 'Education'
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of technician staff.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with other managers/supervisors and hospital personnel.
- Technical acumen for applications relevant to pharmacy operations.
