Technical Knowledge and Skills

• The successful candidate will have knowledge of procedures and equipment operation related to the proper operation, maintenance and service of heavy-duty motor equipment such as a motor grader/tandem truck; mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and lubrication systems of heavy equipment; and the applied rate of various types of material in order to operate controls such as clutches, hydrodrums and levers. You will also have knowledge of workplace safety and traffic control procedures and occupational health, workplace hazardous materials and dangerous goods policies and practices.
• To qualify for this position, you must possess a valid Class 1A operator's license and be willing and able to perform the physical labour, heavy lifting and climbing demands of the position. Contract or project management experience and/or knowledge of ice roads will be considered an asset.
