Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and dumping to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and environmental standards through inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Assign tasks to mining crews, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training.
• Work with mine planning and engineering teams to optimize pit designs, mining sequences, ore recovery, and dilution.
• Monitor equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance and repairs to reduce downtime.
• Inspect equipment, infrastructure, and work areas for hazards, maintenance needs, and process improvements.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, and equipment logs for management and regulatory review.
• Coordinate with geology, processing, and maintenance on ore delivery, grade control, and equipment scheduling.
• Control consumables, fuel, labor resources, and operating costs to support productivity.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, company policy compliance, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in open-pit or underground mining operations.
• 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Additional mine supervision or leadership certification is advantageous.
